HOSTEL: MOMENTS OF BEST CARING

INFRASTRUCTURE OF THE HOSTEL

Fully air-conditioned with uninterrupted power supply and RO-purified water

JPS Hostel at Lucknow has two separate wings. Boys' wing comprises of 8 spacious Dormitories and houses 90 students while the Girls' wing has 5 large dormitories which are home to 60 girl students. All the dormitories are air cooled and well ventilated. Each wing has its own mess where the students are served their meals five times a day. Each student is provided with a box-cum-bed and a multipurpose rack [Table & Almirah].

HOLISTIC LEARNING EXPERIENCE

Our unique approach covers nine areas of development and learning that focus on the cognitive, social and emotional development of the child. Key curriculum areas include: life skills, sensorial, physical, mathematics, language, cognition, science, social studies, art and culture.

DAILY SCHEDULE

Every day the Hostel students get up early and do their morning exercises [Yoga or Aerobics]. Then they are served breakfast along with milk before they leave for their academic classes. At break time, they are served lunch. When the school gets over, they are given their afternoon meal with seasonal fruit. After the rest hour they leave for the ground for their sports hour. After sweating in the field they are served their evening snacks. Then begins their Remedial Classes in which their academic problems & doubts are addressed by the different subject teachers as per the weekly schedule. Once again they get milk with their dinner after which they do their self study before going to sleep.

LIFE IN THE HOSTEL

To ensure that nothing goes amiss, hostellers have several ways to enjoy their time. On Sundays and other holidays they go for outings to movies, water parks or to some other picnic spots. They often visit some evening cultural events or celebrate festivals, like Janmashtami, Eid, Holi or Deepawali if they are not able to visit their homes. Sometimes, special bonfires, educational tours or workshops are arranged especially for the hostellers.

SAFETY & SECURITY

All necessary steps are taken to ensure that the child feels safe & secure in the hostel. The resident team of Mr. Lalit Kumar & Mr. Neeraj Tiwari and Ms. Rizwana & Ms. Jyoti are always present to guide, monitor, mentor, console, advice and counsel the students. No outsiders other than the Parents and the Local Guardians [as per the entries in the Admission Form] are allowed to meet the Hostel Students. Parents & Local Guardians can meet on the scheduled days [as mentioned in the school diary] or after taking the prior permission from the respective Warden. The students are allowed to make a call home on every Sunday. For Medical Assistance the School has an Infirmary & a visiting Doctor [thrice in a week]. The food preparation is in-house and is hygenic
